VW is a good brand but they are expensive in maintenance. European cars are smaller we have smaller parking places if you drive an American care in Europe you need two parking’s and you have to pay for two :owned:

Update pics:

I talked with the body shop owner and he let me take some pics of the car while it's being worked on. It's hard to recognize from the front that it's even a ford.

yeah, they're being pretty thorough. He showed me what's been replaced, and how they either welded or bolted parts back on. He was very accommodating. I would have liked to take more pics but I kind of felt like I was keeping him standing around when he would rather be working on something else. So I kept the pics to a minimum.

So far I have a really great feeling from the work they're doing. We're currently going through our insurance co at the moment.
I actually forgot to ask what the new total for the work is. He did mention that they needed some additional parts when they started getting into it. So I know it's now over the $6k estimate.

My daughter's car was in an impact back in February and we're finally getting the check so that can be fixed. We'll probably be using the same body shop when the time comes.

I stopped by the Police Dept today to get the accident report, and oddly it seems that the accident has not been filled out yet. The records keeper said she would notify the officer's supervisor notified. We only have 21 days from the date of the accident to have our personal report submitted, but my wife is waiting for the official police report since the witness was the only one who saw the offending driver's plate number.

Well sounds like your closer to a happy ending :great:

Over 6K, wow. I'm surprised the insurance company is spending that much. It is an 08 though.
